Our Mission

Our founder, Jamela Peterson, has been a dedicated parent, educator, and entrepreneur for the past eight years. Despite the challenges of being an emancipated minor at 17 in Georgia, she earned a full-ride scholarship and graduated from Davidson College. In 2016, she channeled her passion for empowering youth by creating the SocialPreneur Lab curriculum and platform, designed to teach entrepreneurship and financial literacy to diverse students. Jamela's leadership has earned her recognition, including acceptance into prestigious accelerator programs like Techstars and winning 1st place at the Female Founders Pitch Night. SocialPreneur Lab's mission is to inspire young minds to build wealth and transform their futures through entrepreneurship.

"I'm passionate about giving youth the economic opportunities that I wish I had as a kid."
