Enter $500 Youth Pitch Competition
SocialPreneur Lab and sponsors host monthly "SharkTank"-style virtual pitch competitions exclusive to our KidBoss participants. Each youth participant will be eligible to enter a $500 virtual pitch competition to win cash prizes. A panel of guest judges will select the 3 winners with the best business idea & pitch.

Our founder, Jamela Peterson, has been a dedicated parent, educator, and entrepreneur for the past eight years. Despite the challenges of being an emancipated minor at 17 in Georgia, she earned a full-ride scholarship and graduated from Davidson College. In 2016, she channeled her passion for empowering youth by creating the SocialPreneur Lab curriculum and platform, designed to teach entrepreneurship and financial literacy to diverse students. Jamela's leadership has earned her recognition, including acceptance into prestigious accelerator programs like Techstars and winning 1st place at the Female Founders Pitch Night. SocialPreneur Lab's mission is to inspire young minds to build wealth and transform their futures through entrepreneurship.

Cloud, 13
Class of 2022
13-year-old entrepreneur Cloud combined creativity and baking to launch Cloud Bake N Paint, a business offering delicious treats and custom-painted masterpieces. Through the SocialPreneur Lab program, Cloud raised 36% of their crowdfunding campaign goal and generated $120 in business revenue at the first marketplace. This young creator is making waves in both the kitchen and the art world! đ°đ¨
Kaysie, 12
Class of 2022
 Our girl boss, Kaysie, became an entrepreneur during the Tulsa Common Good
Cohort. In this program, she was able to build a business plan, raise startup capital,
and develop here keychains inspired by the animals she loved. During the TGC
Marketplace, she was able to generate over $90 in sales of her product.
Noriah & Briana, 15
Class of 2019
Our 10th-grade student entrepreneurs, Briana and Noriah, launched a lifestyle brand called Game Plan to promote kids playing outdoors. đ¤¸đžâď¸âšđ˝ They were unsuccessful at reaching their crowdfunding goal. However, they earned $750 in sales during the Youth Marketplace.

Virtual Class of 2020
One of our 17-year-old girl bosses, Brooke, participated in our virtual summer program to launch her company (inspired by her cat named Sebastian đ¸) called Lemon-Berry Cat Toys. Brooke used the SocialPreneur Lab platform to crowdfund $835 in startup capital and made 45 cat toy sales during the Youth Marketplace.
Kaleb, 14
Class of 2019
â¨Kaleb loves to draw and be creative. He always had a dream of starting his own clothing company. With the funding from the SocialPreneur Lab platform, Kaleb was able to build his first custom-designed t-shirt collection called Tigre. His company generated nearly $650 customer t-shirts at the Youth Marketplace. đâ

A'Myrah, 13
Class of 2019
9th-grade student entrepreneurs, Stephanie and A'Myrah were inspired to create a tech startup đŠđťđť đŠđ˝đť called Cupo to help their moms who have food severe allergies find affordable food.đ˝ At the end of our program, these two girl bosses raised 75% of the crowdfunding goal on the SocialPreneur Lab platform and received a $500 investment from North End Teleservices.
